What you will really need to have is a riddle of an object or food, a white sheet of paper and a pencil. So, remember that you have to search a riddle for the last videoconference!

To correct the activities, we will provide you the answer key through the blog on the 10^th of June.

Hi everyone! This week we are starting Unit 7 entitled “A helping hand” and for this reason we will work its vocabulary. Then, from the pupil’s book, you have to do activity 3 of page 72, in which you have to match each expression with the correct image as we used to do in class. Furthermore, you have to do activity 1 and 2 of page 70 from the activity book so as to practise the same vocabulary.

This time you just have to send to the teachers the two definitions that you have to write in activity 2 of page 70. You can write these two definitions using the Word Office program or you can take a photo from the activity book. To correct the other activities, we will provide you the answer key through the blog on the 6^th of May.

Hola a tothom! Aquesta setmana comencem la unitat 7 titulada “A helping hand” i és per això que treballarem el vocabulari d’aquesta. Del pupil’s book, de la pàgina 72 heu de realitzar l’activitat 3, que és relacionar cada expressió amb la imatge corresponent, com fèiem a classe. A més a més, heu de fer de la pàgina 70 les activitats 1 i 2 de l’activity book per tal de practicar el mateix vocabulari.

En aquest cas només cal que feu retorn de les dues definicions que heu d’escriure a l’activitat 2 de la pàgina 70 de l’activity book. Podeu escriure les dues definicions a un document Word o al activity book i llavors enviar-nos una foto. Per a corregir la resta, us facilitarem el solucionari al bloc el dia 6 de maig.

In this activity, you will have to write a calligram. First of all, you have to think about all your hobbies and choose one. Then, write a text (between 50 and 100 words) about this hobby explaining why you like it, how do you feel when you do it, when do you do it, how much do you enjoy it… Then, think about the drawing that you will do writing this text.

En aquesta activitat, haureu d’escriure un cal·ligrama en anglès. Primer que tot, heu de pensar sobre els vostres hobbies i triar-ne un. Llavors escriviu un text d’entre 50 i 100 paraules sobre aquest hobby explicant per què us agrada, com us sentiu quan el practiqueu o feu, quan el feu... Llavors, penseu el dibuix o forma que fareu quan l’escrigueu per fer el cal·ligrama amb el text.

In this lesson you will learn new false friends. First of all, you just have to read the following explanation that I took from your school diary.

En aquesta classe, aprendràs nous false friends. Primer que tot, només heu de llegir la següent explicació que l’hem tret de la vostra agenda.

Recipient – Recipient – Recipiente: Recipient vol dir “destinatari” (d’un premi, d’una carta, d’un missatge…). L’objecte que conté coses o líquids es diu container.

Remove – Remoure – Remover: Moure alguna cosa per barrejar-la amb altres elements és, en anglès, to stir. To remove significa “treure o eliminar”

Salad – Salat – Salado: Salad, en anglès, vol dir “amanida”. Pot ser salada (salty) o no; això ja va a gustos.

Soap – Sopa – Sopa: No confonguis mai el pot del sabó (soap) amd el de la sopa (soup); compte amb el que tires a l’olla!

Vase – Vas - Vaso: Vase és un gerro decoratiu o un gerro per posar-hi flors i glass és un got per beure. Glass també vol dir “vidre”, “mirall” i, fins i tot “ulleres” (fent server el plural glasses).

Hello everyone! The English teachers have prepared an activity for you to review the vocabulary of the unit that we were working at school. The last unit was Unit 6. The vocabulary is about the different kinds of entertainment that we can enjoy during our free time.

In this activity you will have to write the definition of the words you have below. As you can see, there are 4 examples to give you different models.

An art exhibition is a collection of paintings that you can go and see.

Ballet is a kind of dance that has a story. It’s usually a dance to classical music.

A comedy show is a kind of entertainment that is funny. People try to make you laugh.

A circus happens inside a big tent. People and animals do exciting and funny things.

Now it is your turn! Write a definition of the following words:

A sculpture

A 3D film

A pop concert

A play

A dance show

A magazine

A classical music concert

Per a poder fer aquesta activitat fes el següent:

·       Copia i pega l’activitat a un document Word.

·       Completa l’activitat escrivint les definicions de cada paraula.

·       Guarda el document amb el teu nom i cognoms i amb el títol “Activitat1anglès” (Ex: PaulHendersonActivitat1anglès)
